Aluminium Clad Windows by TWN were pleased to supply and install Westcoast Windows’ bespoke composite windows for a unique self-build family home in Norfolk.

The couple and their family purchased an old out-dated bungalow on a large plot in the Norfolk countryside with a view to developing their own self-build property on the land.

Working with architects Lucas+Western to design the property, the couple were looking to create a bright, modern home with large open plan living areas and space for their family. The architects had the vision to build a raised living area to maximise the views over the Norfolk countryside, which was achieved by creating a banked area at one end of the home with a large set of sliding doors to open out onto the patio.

The architect at Lucas+Western had created a similar project for a previous client, working with Aluminium Clad Windows to supply and fit Westcoast Windows products, and were quick to recommend Rob and his team for this project.

The project has taken 18 months to complete, and the client is incredibly pleased with the high standards and service provided by Aluminium Clad Windows. They also commented that the windows and doors all arrived incredibly well packed and in perfect condition from the Swedish Westcoast Windows factory, with the large sliding doors arriving as one complete unit.

The architects specified a combination of Westcoast Windows sliding doors, top hung reversible windows and large fixed lights to achieve the high level of natural light in the property. The low maintenance aluminium exterior was finished in RAL 7016 30% Matt black to complement the red brick and dark timber cladding and the wood interior was finished in fresh white to give a bright, contemporary feel.

The client and architects have certainly achieved their vision of creating a warm and welcoming family home with an abundance of natural light and a perfect flow through the open plan living areas to the raised sun room and up to the bedrooms and bathrooms.
